Dahlias – Flower Series No. 3

Dahlias are flowers that belong in August. Maybe it’s the warm hues of the petals that are reminiscent of hot summer days.

I miss summer.

But. I still am not hating the cold and rainy (sometimes snowy) weather we have now. It is such a cozy feeling to drive with the rain beating down on the roof of my car, or to arrive home to a warm house. Those moments are not the same in summer. The outdoors are such an escape during summer, but during winter it’s the opposite. In winter, a home is a haven of warmth and coziness.

That being said…I am enjoying the last dredges of winter and the slow coming of spring.
