Pink Flamingos

Pink Flamingos.jpg

Flamingos (or flamingoes, if you’re so inclined) have got to be one bird that encounters a lot of controversy. Okay, I wouldn’t go that far, but I have this mixed relationship with the pink bird.

There are scads of flamingo-related things out there. That is my first problem. This bird comes in the form of plastic garden accessories and it also resides on countless bags, bedspreads, pool toys, etc. Also, why is a Las Vegas casino the first thing to pop up on a flamingo Google search? Anyway, the plastic garden accessory really gets me. That is like the trailer park grandma in Florida cliche.

‘Nuff said.

But. They are beautiful (pink!) birds with legs NYFW models would kill for. Also, it is super cool they are pink because of their diets (all that shrimp makes ’em rosy!). And their backward bending knees *sighs*. What more can a bird want?

And for a reference pic:

The birds are killing it.

That’s it for now! (At this point, are you wondering what the point of this post is? Me too.)

Goodnight folks 🙂
