This chair is actually a burnt orange color, but since I’m using black and white media, it’s not portrayed like that :) But it’s such a classic that I had to share!
I was wondering what other materials to use (especially since line drawing only goes so far with my skills) and I noticed another artist online using sumi ink. Well, obviously! I proceeded to take out my ink, brushes, and palette and started painting. I can say I quite like the result; I was struggling with shadows with the previous drawings, and the sumi ink accomplishes it amazingly.
